Did
you know that all of us have the potential
to be richer, no matter what we earn
and whether or not we are our own boss?
You really can build a fortune just
from saving a few pounds a day –
but how?
Two
exciting books have just hit my desk
that are full of inspiring and realistic
ways in which to save – and even
make – money.
The
Automatic
Millionaire by David Bach
and The
Money Diet, by leading
UK finance journalist Martin Lewis are
both worth a read.
The
Money Diet shows you simple yet very
effective ways on how to save money,
as well as empowering you to take control
of your finances. It claims that an
average UK family could save £3000
annually without changing their lifestyle!
And
follow just one of the principles in
The Automatic Millionaire and you could
be over £700 richer at the end
of the year without really trying! For
example, on your way to work, do you
buy a cup of coffee and breakfast, or
maybe a newspaper or magazine?
That
daily cup of coffee and a bun is probably
costing you an average of £3.00
a day – or £15 a working
week.
That’s
£60 a month - or £720 a
year – that you could be making
money on elsewhere, perhaps in a high
interest earning bank account? Follow
this pattern for five years and even
without adding interest, you could save
£3,600!
Imagine
how much money you could be sitting
on if you cut out other stuff. For example,
if spend £5 a day on cigarettes
you could be saving £1,825 a year
– or over £9,000 in just
five years – but cutting them
out!
These books are both packed full with
ways on how to save – and make
money, without you even really having
to try too hard!
